Author Judith A. Perkins will sign copies from her Journey to the Pacific trilogy on October 18, 2025, at Frankfurter Buchmesse, giving readers a chance to meet the author and learn about stories of resilience, family, and discovery.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 20th Oct 2025 – Judith A. Perkins, author of the Journey to the Pacific series, will hold a book signing on October 18, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Frankfurt Trade Fair Grounds during Frankfurter Buchmesse. The signing highlights Perkins’s three-volume saga — One Man’s Quest; The Emancipation of William Jones Jr.; and Finding Love in the Trenches — and coincides with the global publishing community’s annual gathering from October 15 to 19.
Perkins’s first volume, One Man’s Quest, follows George Seevers, an Illinois orphan who dreams of the Pacific Ocean. Raised in an orphanage and denied formal schooling, George learns to read, flees west at fifteen, and pursues steady work and family life across Rapid City, Cheyenne, and ultimately eastern Washington. Years later, a journey to Cannon Beach, Oregon, fulfills his long-held desire to see Haystack Rock and taste the ocean’s salt, closing a circle of longing and perseverance.
The second volume, The Emancipation of William Jones Jr., centers on a young boy removed from an abusive home and placed with relatives in Rawlings, Washington. The narrative traces William’s difficult beginnings, his struggle to trust, and the slow-building confidence that allows him to grow and connect with family and community.
Together with Finding Love in the Trenches, Perkins’s trilogy addresses themes of survival, family bonds, migration, and personal redemption. The books are grounded in place-based detail and character-driven storytelling that reflect Perkins’s own familiarity with the Pacific Northwest.
Judith A. Perkins was raised in Portland, Oregon. After a period of work and family life in Tacoma, Washington, she and her husband retired in 2000 and traveled the United States by motorhome, visiting all lower 48 states. Perkins now divides her time between summers in Tacoma and winters in Yuma, Arizona. Her lived experience in the region informs the settings and sensibilities of the Journey to the Pacific books.
The book signing will be held in Hall 5.1 D59 at the Frankfurt Trade Fair Grounds. Attendees at Frankfurter Buchmesse are invited to meet Perkins, obtain signed copies, and engage briefly about the series. The event forms part of the fair’s rich program of author appearances, rights negotiations, and cultural exchange.
