Family-owned Nick’s Air Conditioning and Heating have created a program that gives residents in Apopka, Orlando, Altamonte Springs and surrounding areas peace of mind when it comes to aging HVAC systems. The company’s newly launched Preventive Maintenance Subscription program offers twice yearly maintenance services and 24-hour service calls at no extra charge for a single annual fee.
By signing up for the company’s Preventive Maintenance program, residents benefit from semi-annual services that include air duct checks, cleaning and sanitizing, condenser coil cleans, electrical systems and operations checkups, a 20 percent discount on all repairs, and more.
The team reminds their community that household water heaters are a particularly important appliance. In demand every day, a well-functioning and efficient water heater is an essential part of every household.
A report released by Nick’s Air Conditioning and Heating says homeowners should watch for signs their water heater needs to be replaced and recommends acting swiftly on anything that looks unusual.
The report notes that water heaters that are over 10 years old should be replaced, even if they appear to be functioning adequately. After a decade of operation, water heaters can develop leaks which lead to mold and mildew. The age of a water heater can be determined by its serial number.
Other signs the water heater should be replaced include a lack of hot water, an increase in the heating bill, and a noisy appliance which generally points to a buildup of sediment blocking the unit’s passages.
With the launch of the Preventive Maintenance Subscription program, Nick’s Air Conditioning and Heating is helping residents stay in control of their home’s appliances and household budgets, as well.
A spokesperson for the company says “Here at Nick’s, we know how important family is, and how important it is to keep them safe and comfortable. After all, we’re a company of family ourselves.”
